I actually saw an art installation in a haunted mansion in San Francisco. It was so creepy that I had to hide and hide and hide.
The art installation was a series of paintings that seemed to be depicting the history of the mansion, with the main character as the creepy guy who lives in the house, with the paintings as his memories. The artwork was very creepy and the house was creepy, but one thing was the most disturbing. The paintings were all very dark. I’m not sure if that was intentional, but I’m hoping there are no more.
Some artists have done so much to create the “home” of the haunted mansion that the art gallery has become so large that they have had to move a lot of art there. After the work was done, the art was destroyed. It’s not clear if the art was actually painted, but it’s a bit like the paintings.

The haunted mansion is one of the more bizarre places in the game, and the art really adds to the atmosphere. I would say the overall mood of the game is one of creepiness, but on the other hand the artwork is creepy as well.
