It is also a great place to hang out, because you can find new friends there. In fact, the only reason to live in the post office is to be near the postmaster. But hey, if you are having a bad day and need some company, you can always come back to the post office and go to the postmaster’s office. So you can actually be there a lot more than you think.
In our post office, we got the chance to hang out with a few very cool people. My favorite was the postmaster, Mr. Brown, who was a bit of a legend in his own time, but has since faded into a bit of a legend himself. He had a very calm demeanor, and a very friendly way of talking to the postal workers he worked with. He was a bit of a legend, and we were lucky to be able to hang out with him.
